Connecting People to God

Meeting at our Akron Campus, our college ministry - Campus Focus - has a simple heartbeat: connect people to God. We exist to declare His glory, and freely give away the same gift that we have been freely given. Campus Focus is made up of people from all kinds of backgrounds, systems of beliefs and experiences. It is our desire to be a place where you can ask difficult questions, feel the love of Christ, and experience your Creator God.

Thursday Nights are our central meeting time centered around worship, teaching, and fellowship. Everything else we do branches out from this time together.

Who normally attends?

Campus Focus is designed specifically for and with college students in mind. CF is open to people from all walks of life and you will find a wide variety in those who attend. All Campus Focus events are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Jesus regardless of your current beliefs.

Where and when do you meet?

Campus Focus is based out of our Akron campus location (at the corner of Buchtel and Fir Hill). We meet every Thursday night at 7:30 PM in The Chapel Auditorium. We also have small groups that meet throughout the week (in the evenings) in a variety of locations. Small groups are a way we practice gospel community and grow deeper together in faith, hope, and love.

Where should I park?

Our Akron building is located across the street from The University of Akron so if you live on campus you probably don’t even have to drive. If you are driving, there are several options to choose from. We have parking lots located off of Fir Hill St (main entrance) and Chapel Drive (along Route 8). You can also use the East Campus Parking Deck, which is located at the corner of Buchtel Ave. and Spicer St (enter from Spicer Street). All parking is free during service hours.

Command and teach these things. Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:11-12

College Director

“As someone who came to know Jesus in college, I recognize how crucial it is to follow Him in this stage of life. Knowing Him changes everything, especially how we live in the present and how we establish our plans for the future.”
